One of the most comfortable and innovative running shoes released on the market are Hoka 1 One Rincon 3. The HOKA Rincon 3 is a no frills lightweight trainer that is an interesting crossroads of maximalist design while still maintaining some ground feel. Hoka is relatively young company on the sports market but very successful.
The third version brings a more breathable upper and slightly increased rubber outsole coverage. Also a drop in weight and some changes in outsole design that has an impact on heel stability and effective heel to toe offset. The Rincon sits on the firmer end of the HOKA line and stays out of the way when different runs and conditions are thrown at it.
Main Characteristics
- Very durable sneakers
- More outsole rubber and Smoother ride
- Neutral stability shoe with a balanced cushion
What I Liked
Hoka 3 offers thick, firm support that’s gentle on flat feet while also being super lightweight. It has a comfortable mesh upper that will keep your feet cool, while the thick sole gives you much-needed support. Ample midsole cushioning works for flat feet as well as runners with a midfoot strike.
To wrap things up, the Hoka Rincon 3 is a lightweight, cushioned trainer ideal for anyone walking or running. They’re great for almost any amount of distance but are prone to wear. It is perfect for faster days and slower days making this one versatile trainer you will not want to miss out.
What I did not like
I don’t mainly find the Rincon 3 good for speed work. Also they run small, fit narrow and the tongue is thin.
Summary
There are lots of solid improvements to the Rincon 3 and if you’re trying to decide if you should get a previous version at a discounted price or go for the new one at full price, you should get the new one.
The Rincon 3 is the best Rincon to date. It rides much smoother and it feels faster because its forefoot is more snappy. It also has more outsole rubber coverage and its midsole foam is more resilient so it’s much more durable. For sure, the HOKA 1 One Rincon 3 running shoes worth the price you pay.
